I'd been looking for a good cel from this sequence for quite awhile, and when my friend Mina decided to put hers up for sale on da bay (that's ebay, yo ^^), I HAD to have it, no matter what. The first time I saw it in her gallery, I'd fallen in love with it. I bid on it immediately after she'd posted it on Ebay, and on the final day I went through quite a crazy bidding war with some other Nuriko fan that caused me to win the high bid back on this cel by less than 30 seconds! By the time I'd won, I didn't have the money to pay for it... ^^;;;;; Anyway, to pay for this, I painted a wall mural asking just the right amount of money for the cel in return.. and presto.. it became mine. This is one of the few things I've ever bought with money made from my artwork. Because of that, it's not only one of my most adored cels, it's actually something I'm very proud of. As for the background I scanned it with, I felt it looked a lot nicer with the cel than the original which is basically just an A layer cel of Tamahome's green winter cloak. Scene Info: In this scene, Tamahome and Miaka have discovered Nuriko injured on the side of the mountain, and they both rush to his side. This end cel shows Nuriko dying in Tamahome's arms as he says his final goodbyes to his fellow seishi and miko. Sequence Buddies: Both Shawnna and Carol have cels of Nuriko from earlier in this sequence with his eyes open.
