-The Story of D.N.Angel-
Dark Mousy is a legendary kaitou (aka - phantom thief) who resides within the D.N.A. of the Niwa family males. Once they hit the ripe hormonally embalanced age of 14, they transform into Dark whenever they feel love. This can be a little inconvenient when you're Daisuke Niwa, a cute and clumsy young lad who starts transforming into Dark on the day of his 14th birthday. Daisuke tries to make a change in his life by asking out the girl of his dreams, Risa Harada. Unfortunately he rejects him, and on top of that, Daisuke doesn't want to turn into another person. He just wants to be himself. Things just get stickier when said girl of his dreams develops a massive crush on none other but the mysterious phantom thief who Daisuke turns into against his own will.

-The Ego-
Dark's got a bit of an ego, which is understandable when you're as flaming hot as he is... but really, there's something hidden under all of that. Dark is very mysterious, and although on the outside it seems like his intentions are bad, we somehow know that Dark is doing something very important by stealing ancient artifacts and pieces of art. By doing this, he is keeping them away from a greater evil..

-The Look-
How much does it take to emphasize Dark's good looks? Not much. He's the epitome of bishounen. Bright eyes, slender body, unruly purple hair and the amazing talents of Yukiru Sugisaki (the creator of D.N.Angel) are just a bit of what make Dark so damn appealing. Plus you can't help but have a thing for the mysterious one. Even Daisuke's mom, Emiko, has the hots for Dark, and you don't have to wonder why, do you? The greatest thing is that Emiko keeps making Dark all of these awesome outfits for his nightly runs that just emphasize how sexy he is, but whenever he transforms back, everyone thinks poor little Dai-chan looks ridiculous in them. If only Daisuke could become as cool as Dark-sama, maybe Risa could learn to love him...

-The Love-
Dark has got it bad for Risa's sister, Riku. Could it be anymore inconvenient? This causes Daisuke to change into Dark regardless of which Harada sister he runs into. Both Dark's feelings for Riku and Daisuke's feelings for Risa get the love D.N.A.that triggers his transformation pumping. After awhile, Dark and Daisuke's feelings begin to... well.. let's just say, they "merge" together. Anyway, it's one big sort of love quadrilateraldodecahedron type of thingy. Daisuke loves Risa but Risa loves Dark. Dark loves Riku but Riku loves Daisuke. Then there's Satoshi, who doesn't really love anyone but seems to care about Daisuke a whole heckuva lot, even their alter-egos are arch-enemies. Of course, most of this is not too apparent in the anime. They probably thought that putting such an oddly weaved relationship into the TV series was too much for our small, squealy, fangirl brains to handle. Well, whatever. :P~ At least Dark is still hot, right? ^^;;;

-The Wiz-
Wiz, or With (whichever you prefer) is Daisuke's pet bunny-looking thing. It's cute as Hell, but it serves a greater purpose than just looking so damn precious. With can transform into anything that's convenient (including a double-Daisuke!) but what's most important is that he serves as Dark's black wings. Wings are pretty handy dandy when your #1 occupation is stealing things and getting away with it, but if Dark SPROUTED wings out of his back, it'd end up injuring Daisuke. So instead, With transforms into a not-so-cute black creature that clings onto Dark's backside and opens up it's enormous black wings. Just when you thought Dark could not possibly look any sexier, too.

-Krad-
You might consider Krad to be Dark's alter-ego. (Notice that "Krad" is "Dark" spelled backwards?) In a physical sense, he is the exact opposite of Dark. He's got light hair, light wings, light eyes and speaks very formally. Satoshi Hiwatari, a classmate and protective friend(?) of Daisuke just happens to be the unfortunate soul who has to transform into Krad. Even more unfortunate is the fact that Krad will do ANYTHING to stop the phantom thief. Krad is a bit of an enigma.. and a bit of a paradox to boot. You'd think the LIGHT side would be the good side and the DARK side would be the evil side... right? Well, it's not quite that simple. From what can be gathered, the rivalry between Dark and Krad is one that goes far deeper than merely 'good and evil', and the story is quite obviously in Dark and Daisuke's favor. Nonetheless, Krad is pretty darn hot as well. It's too bad he's so cruel to Satoshi.
